This project was 15 minutes of fame kind of overnight success. During the 2016 NBA Playoffs, the Toronto Raptors made it to the Semi-Finals and the CBC released a poll amongst all NBA fans to see who the people think will make it to #1. The options were: Cleveland, Oklahoma, Golden State or ‘Other’.

After disregarding Toronto, it went viral. Fans changed the well-known Raptors hashtag #WeTheNorth into #WeTheOther and Canadians across the country were proud to call ourselves The Other. It needed to be on a t-shirt ASAP.

I took the opportunity and designed the new saying on the flag and began advertising that same day. With more than 1,000,000 followers, Toronto Life Blog picked up the design and published it on their website catching onto the hype of #WeTheOther in Toronto.
